I need the common name for a definition, and what is it used for?

PhCO3H is a phenyl group acid called salicylic acid. It's common name is aspirin. It is the esterification of the phenyl group with alcohol that produces aspirin.

The name of this compound is Benzoyl Hydroperoxide.
also known as perbenzoic acid and phenoxyformic acid (IUPAC Name) and other several names.

It is perbenzoic acid.
it is a strong oxidizing agent which you can use for titrations in organic solvents like CHCl3.

Maybe you are confusing it with PhCO2H, benzoic acid, which has several uses, especially its sodium salt, sodium benzoate
like food preservative
