My fiance has gorgeous blue eyes. His mother and sister have blue eyes and his father too. My father has blue eyes and mother has brown eyes, my sister has hazel eyes and I have brown eyes. Can we figure out what color our baby girl's eyes will be. I hope they are the color of her fathers

this is a very fun eye color calculator:
"What color eyes will your children have"

our second, much to our surprise, was born with green eyes. my husband and i (and most everyone in our family) have brown eyes. i do have a green eyed brother and grandfather. so, her chance of getting green eyes were incredibly slim, but she's almost 9 months now and i think they are green to stay.

i found it interesting when reading up on eye color and genes that all the basic eye color info i had learned in high school biology was incorrect. geneticists don't really know what causes eye color.

you can guess as much as you like, but you really won't know till your baby arrives! (and then really not until they are about 6 months old.)

I got the blue eyes and my husband has the brown. My baby is 8 months old and has blue eyes. My ex husband has brown eyes also and my daughter that I had with him has hazel eyes. So I would say you have a 50/50 chance. Good luck!

hi, you received't understand the colour of your youngster's eyes till nicely after he or she is born. particularly a lot all children are born with blue eyes as their eye pigmentation isn't yet complete and then this colour typically adjustments yet no longer continually. frequently takes a minimum of the first 6 months to carry close for confident or perhaps up till the first 12 months or slightly over of life. Brown eyes are the most dominant. Hazel or eco-friendly eyes are recessive yet are extra dominant than blue eyes. Blue eyes are recessive. interior the lengthy and short of it, your infant will be maximum probable to have brown eyes so a thoughts as threat is in touch. the following is the best information for you. each and every infant/baby is different. So, your baby may have hazel/eco-friendly or blue eyes. possibly even a depressing blue version as against a mild blue. you'll by no skill understand for confident at the same time as wearing the baby.

Blue Eyes are a recessive trait meaning that your husband can only pass on blue eyed traits. You have a father with blue eyes but your eyes are brown this mean you are carrying a trait for blue eyes. If I remember my genetics 101 correctly I think it means you have a 50-50 chance. I'll be watching this question as I'm in a similar situation only my eyes are blue and my husbands are brown but his dad has blue eyes.

50% chance of blue, 50% chance of brown.

My situation was reverse of yours, I had the blue eyes and my husband had the brown eyes. We asked our perinatologist what the odds were and she said 50/50. Our little boy is almost 5 months now, and he still has blue eyes. I wished for blue and got them, I hope you do too!! :)
