Refinishing

I know someone else that happened to and they had to have their table refinished by a professional wood restoration expert. Not expensive though.

I think you will have to refinish it. There are a lot of good stuff out there to do this with. You can rent a sander too if needed. Go find out the best course to take from your local hardware/lumber store.

you can try peroxide and a soft cloth this may take time but it should work. after the stain is gone use a good wood polish some kind of oil like lemon oil ...good luck..!

if you really want to keep the table, i'd lightly sand the table and stain it and don't put anything real hot on the table
