I am 35 amd half weeks pregnant I went to the doctors monday and I am dialated just his width of his finger and he can feel the babies head. I need to know if I could go into labor soon? I keep having pains but they come and go. I just would like to know some people's advice ty.

My best friend was that dialated for about 3 weeks. We went to the hospital at around 35 weeks for her and she was 2cm dialated and 50% effaced. We figureed we would have a baby any day but she stayed at 2 cm for 3 weeks. The next week came and she moved into 3cm, finally her due date came and two days later, we had a baby.
Touch and go from here sweetie, could be anytime, including 5 weeks from now.

no such luck I was dialated to 2 or 3 for almost 4 weeks before my first baby was born. The best thing you can do is stay calm and drink a whole lot of water!! The water will help prevent painful false labor.

sounds like its pretty soon good luck and congradulations when i was 8 months pregnant i went for a doctors appt and i wasnt dialated at all the doctor thought it was going to be awhile before i would have the baby seening that i had another month to go but 2 days later i went into labor CONGRATS

when you have pains 5 or 10 mins apart go to hospital. You can be dialated, and not ready to give birth yet. It takes a while I had a 57 hour labor

Pains are one thing, labor is another. To me, contractions felt like cramps. If they're not regular, then it's probably not labor. Time then and when they get to five minutes apart go to the hospital, otherwise try laying down on your side if they get to be too bothersome.
