Thats 80,000 dollars for the average family of 4 in America . How would you like a check in the mail for 20,000 dollars for everyone in your home . Yes this is accurate information or maybe a check for 600,000 dollars to each person paying rent in America . Thats a down payment on a home of a sizable nature . The 30 million in poverty could be given 100,000 dollars each . thats 400,000 per average family . They would own a home and have 2 cars in the garage and not be living in poverty . Lets try 10,000,000 for each one of the Katrina homeless . Thats crazy cause they would spend it all on drugs and booze but you get the point .

After reading a few of your questions, I thought I recognized the thought process. I was wondering what happened to you. Sometimes a person can play too fast to be seen.
Anyway, I believe your figures on the cost of the Iraqi war are way too low. You are using figures released by the government. Since when have they ever reported the truth. I believe you could easily triple your calculations to come closer to reality.
We have many projects that could have benefitted from all that money. For one, we could have developed hydrogen fuel technology by now.

the real disaster here is that the U.S. doesn't have this money. We are borrowing it from foreign countries. In fact our foreign debt under the Bush Administration is higher than all the foreign debt in the history of this country.

The Republicans will tell you that a debt this high is sustainable. Get real. We paid a half a trillion dollars in interest alone on this debt in 2006. What a terrible waste of money. Think how much we could reduce taxes if we weren't throwing away a half a trillion a year on interest?

How far would a half a trillion a year go toward providing all Americans health insurance?? what a waste.
