Men and women protect each other, utilizing their strengths. For men, they can protect us in many ways, such as using their physical strength and more. For women, one of the major ways we can protect our man is to protect his reputation (by not uncovering his hidden sins or backbiting him to others, etc) and taking care of things in his absence.

It is great the feeling of being protected by the one you love. Not necessarily in a physical kind of way, but also sentimental. For men I guess it feels great to be the Knight in Shining Armour for their woman.

Talking about physical strenght and ability to protect me, I prefer my man to be taller and stronger than me, so he can do things that I can´t like lifting heavy things, etc. Also, in sex it might be kind of handy!

I think thats a basic instinct to have the man be able and willing to protect at no cost. Although once my husband was in a fight and i jumped on the other guys back to help..so it goes both ways.

It's give and take. You play to each other's strengths, really. I've taken martial arts for over nine years now-- my boyfriend hasn't. However, I'm quite short, so some dangers are better left to him. I don't expect to be sheltered and neither does he. We look out for each other as best we can, that's all.

If having "my man protect me", however, means to be a woman who isn't willing to take responsibility for her personal safety and delegates that to said man, then no. I would not like it.

Its attractive to me when I know that I am safe and don't have to protect my partner. Thats why I wish my husband would gain a good 20-30 lbs!! lol

It wouldn't bother me, but my handle IS Danagasta (Sharpwar) after all. I can handle things on my own, but I always say it's better to have two sets of fists than one! Both my mother and stepfather are martial artists (she studies Isshinryu, he studies Ninjutsu,) and they were the ones who instilled the DIY mentality in me.

Yep - its always good knowing that your boyfriend is bigger and stronger than you - knowing that they want to protect is an even nicer feeling!!

Even though you can look after yourself it just makes you feel nice and wanted!

I believe I am protected enough with my man and my pitbull and a couple firearms.

Yes. I'd feel loved if my man were protective of me.
