Ok well I am 7 weeks pregnant. I have a few questions. One is I get morning sickness really bad but it is only at night. So I guess it is night sickness. Anyone else get this? Second: Constipation has been really bad. I am to embarrassed to talked to the DR. about this any suggestions? Third: Only at night time I get really bad cramps. They are usually on one side in my lower pelvic region. Any ideas? Why do they only come at night and are gone during the day? Thanks so much everyone for your time and input!

OK sickness at night is normal most of my pregnancies have been worse at night.
the constipation could be helped with drinking more water, dont be embarrassed to speak to your doctor trust me by the time you give birth not alot will embarrass you!!!
cramps at night may be coz that's when you are resting more remember everything is being stretched and pulled to make room for the baby and notice them more when rested, but mention it to your doctor just in case
good luck and congratulations x x x x

"morning" sickness is just a phrase, women get sick at all times of the day, and night, and some women don't experience any sickness. I happened to be lucky with my first two kids, both boys and no sickness, however, my third child with which I am now 22 weeks pregnant I had sickness all day and night for the first four months. I was told the other day at ultrasound this one is most likely a boy too. Gingerale, and crackers were my best friends during the sickness. As far as the constipation, it is very common and nothing to be embarrassed about. Taking fiber like metamucil, or anything along that line is safe. Also intake more fiber, for instance cereals high in fiber for breakfast or a snack will help. Pains in your pelvic area are also common. I had them as long as they are not accompanied with bleeding, or to where they are extremely painful, if so call doc asap. Good luck.

Congratulations onyour pregnancy. Morning sickness does not just happen in the morning, it can happen at any time during the day or night, so don't spend too much time worrying about it. Drink lots of water to help with your constipation but if it doesn't make any difference, you may have to go and see your doctor (grit your teeth and bare the embarrassment!) I'd reccommend a hot water bottle pressed onto cramps as this helps soothe the muscles and from personal experience, I can honestly say it helps with the pain
If you are going to take painkillers for the cramps, double check the dosages with your GP as they can change throughout pregnancy. Good look with everything.

Morning sickness. Why do they call it that? I could be sick at any given time of the day or night. I think it's because it's often worse on an empty stomach (though again, for me, it didn't matter) and your stomach is normally empty in the morning.

Constipation, take particular care with your diet, you probably are anyway, drink plenty of water, and don't be embarrassed about speaking to your doctor, no doubt s/he wil have dealt with much worse problems. In about 7 months you'll be giving birth and there is little room for embarrassment then.

Cramps..........not sure, never had them, it's a bit early for it to be the position of the baby, I'd mention that to the doctor as well though likely it's just a trapped nerve or something. It may not be connected to your pregnancy at all.

Morning sickness can occure at any time of day, or night in you case. I was sick all the time with my first son. With the constipation you should try to eat more fiber. Or drink some decaf coffee.. It always helps me. And dont be embarrased to talk to your doctor about anything. They hear these things all the time. Your cramps might be gas or something more. You should consult a doctor. Good luck with everything and enjoy your pregnancy! Best wishes!

okay first of all you can get morning sickness anytime of the day. i have no idea why they call it morning sickness =) try a little ginger ale and crackers worked for me. about the constipation it happens and will happen the whole times. red grapes and orange juice will clear it up though. cramps are never a good thing and should be addressed by your doctor right away. it could be from the constipation but i would still ask my doctor about it. good luck and congrats on the baby.

i had morning sickness alot at night too, its completely normal. just keep some crackers by your bed and eat some at night to absorb some of the stomach acid and some when you get up too. i never really had constipation except once or twice but i heard eating more fiber helps. and the cramps you are getting are most likely your uterus stretching. talk to your dr if they get really bad though. congrats and good luck :)

See the Dr. anyway. No need be embarrassed! Dr. is used to it! Get used to seeing Dr. for all manner of stuff. (Believe it or not, if you can handle the idea mentally and spiritually, a Dr. mentally treats you in the same way a vet treats an animal: a vet is not afraid to poke an animal in weird regions...)

well honey...morning sickness is just a name..it comes anytime of the day it wants to..constipation is normal as well especially as your baby grows..things get a little cramped down there...and i think that the reason that you are getting cramps at night is probably because you are laying down..exactly what happened to me...i would try to sleep on a different side or maybe use a heating pad on the low setting...as for your nausea...saltines and ginger ale worked wonderful for me..good luck!!
