I can't take my cell phone into work with me. I can either leave it in my car or turn it in at the begining of my shift. I have heard other people talking about getting their phones back broken or in some cases, not at all, so I don't want to do that. So that means leaving it in my car. Is the cold bad for the phone and if so, is there something I can get to protect it? I have quite a drive to and from work, so I like to have it with me, in case of an emergancy, so leaving it at home is not an option.

Bundle it up in its carrying case, and wrap a sweater around it. Alternatively, you could get one of those pouches that people keep hot foods in- you know, insulated to keep it warm (like pizza delivery drivers use) and store it in there.

I've had my phone in the cold and seen no bad effects. But better safe than sorry.

Leaving your phone in the car will not damage it. Depending on how cold it is, you might see some delay and/or ghosting in the display screen until it warms up. I have also found that prolonged exposure to cold can drain down my phone's battery. You might want to throw a car charger in the glove box, just in case.

The best way is to report your cell phone as stolen and then they will cut it off and possibly give you a new phone if you have insurance. My ex had his stolen numerous times oh boy! LOL As soon as you know it is stolen then call em up and get it cut off!

The cold will not hurt your phone. The display may be slow to react, but it will come back.
