It's like the security password of your Wireless Internet Connection. It's there so that random people can't just connect to it without paying. You should be able to find out your key by reading the manual or even looking at the bottom of the Wireless Router. The key can be changed, but usually people keep it the same.

wep key is the password set on your router for the wireless internet connections. If you dont remember just log into your router and reset the key.

Your wireless router is encrypted and you need to look up your encryption code on it when you set it up.
