It really depends on how far along you are and your daily activities. An expecting mother can never sleep too much. It is best to get as much rest as possible before the baby arrives because you will get very little after wards.
Check with your doctor to see if your iron is low or if anything else is going on to cause you to be tired. If everything is alright, remember that you are having to carry more weight than usual and your body is trying to adjust.
Best Solution: Rest as often as you need to and enjoy the pregnancy. Consider yourself blessed because Cod doesn't choose just anybody to bring something he considers so precious into this world.

As much as possible, you're gonna miss it once the baby's born! In all seriousness though, building a baby is hard work, so of course you'll be tired! It's not going to hurt your baby if you sleep more than 7-8 hrs. When I was pregnant I would get my normal 8 hours, then sometimes nap 2-3 hours during the day. If you feel that you're sleeping WAY more than normal (12+ hours a day), have your doc check your iron to make sure you're not anemic. Either way, eating more iron might be a good way to beat some of the fatigue. Another thing to remember is you've got more blood in your system than normal!

Sleep
It's important to get enough sleep during your pregnancy. Your body is working hard to accommodate a new life, so you'll probably feel more tired than usual. And as your baby gets bigger, it will be harder to find a comfortable position when you're trying to sleep.

Lying on your side with your knees bent is likely to be the most comfortable position as your pregnancy progresses. It also makes your heart's job easier because it keeps the baby's weight from applying pressure to the large blood vessels that carry blood to and from your heart and your feet and legs. Lying on your side can also help prevent or reduce varicose veins, constipation, hemorrhoids, and swelling in your legs.

Some doctors specifically recommend that pregnant women sleep on the left side. Because your liver is on the right side of your abdomen, lying on your left side helps keep the uterus off that large organ. Lying on your left side also optimizes blood flow to the placenta and, therefore, your baby.

Ask what your health care provider recommends. In most cases, lying on either side should do the trick and help take some pressure off your back. To create a more comfortable resting position, either way, prop pillows between your legs, behind your back, and underneath your belly.

just listen to your body. I was very tired while I was pregnant. Get the sleep / rest while you can, once he/she is here you will wish for those days of pregnancy when you had the time to sit down for more than 10 minutes at a time!

Being pregnant a woman's body gets very exausted very quick, you should get as much sleep as possible. You may get bursts of energy once you are getting close to your big day but dont over due it. Sleep while you can because once the baby arrives you wont even remember what sleep is.

When you are pregnant is the best time because you do need a lot of rest. Listen to your body if you feel you need to lay down then do that. Your body will be telling you all sorts of different things now. Get as much rest now because once the baby is born you may not get it. That is why your body is telling you that.
Good Luck

One fo the things that come with pregnancy. If you are in your first trimester you will feel like you can never get enough sleep. The 2nd trimester you have energy again and then your 3rd trimester you'll be tired again. Rest whenever you can...good for you and the baby.
