Hugo Chavez anti-imperialist movement seems to be gaining power, since now other latin american leaders, such as Evo Morales from Bolivia, are supporting him. Do you agree?

Yes there is strength in numbers. And nobody wants to be on Americas side.

Chavez is a menace to South American peace. Unfortunately, he is doing the same thing Castro did/is doing in Cuba. And YES, Chavez is Castro's puppet.
I strongly believe that Chavez is not gaining power. On the other hand, I believe that he is losing power and followers overall. If you had a chance to see him when he speaks in meetings or to the public, you would - for sure - feel bad for Venezuela. My father - middle class - lives in Venezuela, and I have aunts, uncles and many cousins who are really having a hard time over there. The way it works is that you have to be a member of his political party in order to get food, good prices, etc. If you don't agree with him, you won't get many things. Just like Castro....
Yes, Evo Morales supports him because they all follow Castro, China, etc., but the other vast majority of countries don't agree with them.
It's sad, but it's true.

It's spreading and it hurts me...Hugo Chavez is going to destroy Venezuela he wants to be like Fidel Castro...He wants to change the Venezuelan Constitution so he can be the president for the next 20 or 30 years...Latin American will never learn...This is sad b/c all those countries will suffer big time...I hope they enjoy Communism and a dictator....And no Chavez doesn't care for the poor just political B.S to get him reelected...1 more thing he says he might give safe haven to members of the terrorist group ETA from Spain....Spain will be very pissed of if he dose that.......

Chavez was anti-American before Bush was elected. The guy's a puppet of Fidel Castro, and joined Red China to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Maoist Revolution.

of course, he supports the poor and most of latin america is dirt poor.

If you're dirt poor who are you going to vote for, the guy willing to help you or the guy who is not? it's simple like or hate chavez, but he is good for the poor
