A loose gas cap will trigger an EVAP code (In the P0400 range) not a Secondary Air Injection System Circuit fault code. This one is going to require some diagnostic time at the local wrench-turners.

I know this will sound stupid, but go check to make sure the cap on the gas tank is fully closed. turn at least 3 times, when it is not closed properly the check engine light will come on.

time for a service center visit.
your fuel/ air mixture controls are going to act up, and your fuel economy will go down thetubes, maybe to the point of poor preformence of the engine

because the situation is more apparent when the car is cold, i think that the problem is either with an air charge temperature sensor or a coolant temp sensor. this would provide the computer with inaccurate information and could produce a vibration or rough running situation. get the codes pulled and get back to me (us).
