Bubba if you want to wear a dress I say, Go For It. I don't think it is sexism, I think it is society telling everyone what should be normal. Women didn't really start to wear pants in public until WW II when women had to go to the factories and build airplanes and bombs and tanks; i.e. Rosie the Riveter. That is when they realized how comfortable and practical pants were so they just kind of made it the norm. So if you want to start wearing a dress maybe it will catch on, if you think it is okay maybe more men will start doing it.

It's considered socially unacceptable. I don' t really agree with that as if you did do it it's not like you are hurting anyone or forcing anyone to do something they don't want to. I guess it's just a sad fact of society. But there are those of us who buck the trend. I'm a crossdresser and I wear dresses and skirts all the time (and go out and have few problems). The closed minded attitude from the people who say it is 'gay' (i'm heterosexual, my girlfriend has no problem with this at all) really depress me but what can you do.
Go for it. But most of all people should 'live and let live' a little more. Get a life and stop trying to spoil others....

They're called Kilts lad!
Joking less there are many cultures that men wear long flowing gowns or short skirts.
The Greek military dress uniform is a sort of kilt, traditional Chinese and Japanese outfits are robe like, and I am sure there are many others.
There have even been a few very brave Americans who have donned actual dresses to make a point.

If you'd be willing to shave your legs when you wear a dress, I think it should be equal. Although there are hairy-legged women out there too. Start a new trend. Wear dresses and fly in the face of tradition.

Go for start a new trend... Cross dressing should not be frowned upon. And as far as Jamie's comments no one is telling women they have to wear thongs there are plenty of comfortable panties on the market. And pantyhose are not as uncomfortable as women think they are.

Think like this it's okay for a woman to be tough it doesn't necessarily make her butch but a dude wearing a dress looks kind of weak and girlish.
