it more depends on ur question but say for example u have different weights of eggs and categorised them, 50-55kg, 56-60kg etc. then the frequency is how many is in each category.
then cumulative frequency is adding them up together each time.

eg ,
(f = frequency cf = cumlative frequency)

weights (f) (cf)
50-55kg 06 6
55-60kg 10 16
60-65kg 21 37
65-70kg 13 50

Frequency is the number of occurences of something.
e.g. For height of plants in your garden:
0 - 5 cm = 4
5 - 10 cm = 9
10 - 15 cm = 6
15 - 20 cm = 1

The cumulative frequency requires you to add on the previous frequencies.
e.g
Heights less than 5cm = 4
Heights less than 10cm = 4+9 = 13
Heights less than 15cm = 4+9+6 = 19
Heights less than 20cm = 4+9+6+1 = 20
