Should I write the paper on the "N" word?

Question

I have to write a paper of why I should never use the "N" word. I don't get it thought, I was at school and some black kids were talking to each other, they were saying things like "That ****.a is crazy" and "****.a you lying". I knew one of them so I went to say Hi and said "Whats up my ****.a", so one of the other black kids left and then broght a counselor with him and then the counselor told me that I should never use that word and that I would have to write a paper on why not. I don't get it, that's stupid.

Hatred is the starter of all this. If you live in a place with black people you should have already known that using the N word with them will exclude you from their party or worse. It's exclusivist but i presume that you're from America. Well... there's the ackward place where minorities overwhelm the majority in civil rights and law protection.
I think it's really messed up that a black man can sue for racism a white person who didn't hire him from totally other reason than the racial one and in the same time, a kid using a word to integrate to a community is viewed with hatred and betrayed by his mates and still is punished.
But let's face it, the punishment isn't the worse...
The bad thing is that the black racists and the white ones keep this fire opened to the other people who could leave in peace, like all humans should but can't.
Messed up indeed.
Try writing that you shouldn't use the N word because you will try to get closer to them without a hatred-word.
Also say that the H-feeling is a million times worse than the N-word.

Yes, there is a double standard in this country.

Yes, it was stupid of you to say that to those kids (unless you are good friends with them, and know for certian they would find it funny, AND no one else was in ear-shot who would hear it.

Write the paper, and get over it. Do some research on the web about the history of the word, including the history of slavery. What's the worst that could happen. You learn something?

For the record, I think the double standard is wrong. I would bring it up that the black kids were saying it. They could probably benefit from writing a paper too.

that is a great idea, I would recommend a band that has been around a long time with alot of history that you can write about. And when you really have an interest in the subject, it doesnt take long to write 1000 words.
