Why do straight folks think this is the section to post just any damned question that pops into their muddled little heads?

Fair question. I think some women have come to the conclusion (though probably not consciously) that men have the success they do - in business, for instance - because of how they act, and so they emulate that behaviour to achieve the same results. A lot of these women go overboard in so doing, unfortunately (i.e. the bitchy boss syndrome).

Others, who might otherwise not be inclined to do so, feel compelled to go out and work and fulfil the traditionally male role because of all of the hype surrounding equality, and the pressure put on women these days to be everything, i.e. mother, homemaker and provider all in one. Conversely, I think a lot of men are also confused about the role they are meant to fulfil, and some may also be trying to bear all these burdons at once.

Then there are some of us, like myself, that are a bit blokey anyway. I abhor housework (frankly, I'd rather service my car); I don't wear dresses/skirts or make-up terribly often because they're impractical; I enjoy having financial independence and a job to occupy my mind, etc. This isn't to say that I don't have femininity - I just don't base my entire identity on my gender, if that makes sense.

I don't believe much good can come of women being just like men, or vice versa. There are distinctions between the genders for a reason, though we must also be tollerant of individuality within these parameters (and often enough, outside of them).

Because equality means that they have the same rights as men. It is neither right or wrong if they want to behave like a man. There are men out there who behave like women. We live in a society that thankfully tolerates all different types.

I would consider myself an apprentice feminist and under NO circumstance would i want to be anything like a man to gain equality!! we want recognition that our thoughts, beliefs and opinions are just as important as our male counterparts, we want men to stop thinking we are just sexual toys, and we want the opportunity to reach our goals. x

Those that want 'equality' just don't know the price tag - and they think it means being the 'same' which is doesn't.

Civilisation worked a lot better when we were 'different'.

Woman are more than equal when it comes to selecting a breeding partner. They are more pragmatic, and use a wider number of selection criteria. Not just t*ts and b*ms.
