Everyones memory fades or wanders leaving us to fend for ourselves. Thus making the memory "unfaithful."

Always. Memory is based on our perceptions of a situation and we all know that perception is unfaithful to say the least.

Do you mean does memory fail us sometimes? Heck yes. Mine fails me on a daily basis. I used to be able to remember EVERYTHING, but things get pushed out of the mind when you get busy.
