When you don't forgive others... The Creator will not forgive you. Read the Lords Prayer in Matthew 6:12. Everyone makes mistakes in life... including you. One day you'll want God or someone to forgive you for something you've done.
Also, forgiveness sets your mind free and allows you to move forward/on with your life. Instead of staying stuck in the same place with the same feelings, over the same situation and the same person(s).

I feel that it really depends on the situation. I've been told that hate is like a cancer that eats you up and it is better to forgive...though never forget.
Honestly, I have three people I absolutely hate. My uncle and father who assualted me repeatedly when I was growing up. And the woman who slept with my ex-husband continously over our 6 year marriage fully knowing he was married with medically challenged children while she was married with 3 children of her own.
My hate for them doesn't run my life but it does make me more cautious of people...which I feel is a good thing.

FORGIVE SOMEONE . YOU SEE YOU CAN FORGIVE
BUT YOU NEVER EVER HAVE TO FORGET WHAT IT
WAS THAT HURT YOU. YOU MUST FORGIVE SO YOU
CAN FEEL SOUND IN YOUR HART THAT YOU WILL NEVER
BE EFFECTED BY WHAT IT WAS YOU WERE HURT BY.

Ypu must forgive so that you can move on without any heavy bags on your shoulder
But to forget is much harder

It is all about 'Heath of SELF!"
If anyone like his 'self' or her 'self', certainly would not do anything to hurt it!
Forgiveness will help and allow 'self' be relax and be able to focus in vital issues of our 'own' life and get ahead!
