The classic description of appendicitis is pain that begins in the epigastrium (stomach area) and then migrates to the right lower quadrant. It begins as diffuse pain but then becomes very localized. It is associated with anorexia (food avoidance, not the eating disorder), nausea and vomiting, and fever and chills. Usually it is painful enough to cause most people to see a doctor right away.

That being said, I've seen a LOT of appendicitis and it rarely presents in textbook fashion. Are you a woman? If so, the pain could be due to a problem with the ovary. Colonic disease can present very similarly. Does anyone in your family have a history of Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis?

What you really need to do is be seen by a doctor. They will check a White Blood Cell count which is usually elevated in appendicitis. They may order a CT scan if the diagnosis is in question. It's expensive, but worth it if an appendicitis diagnosis is still in question.

What could have happened is that you had appendicitis, it perforated, and your body has contained the perforation. Even if that has happened, you should see a doctor because this can result in an intraabdominal abscess that can make you quite sick.

Good luck. Hope this advice helps.

Doesn't sound like appendicitis, but it sounds like you need to go to the doctor. My boyfriend recently went to the hospital for lower right abdominal pain, because we thought it was appendicitis. But once we were their, the pain kept getting better. The doctors said that if it is appendicitis, it does not generally move, or get better. They did tests because they thought that he might have some kind of lower GI disease, but they couldn't find anything. I would say go to the doctor to get it checked out, and hopefully they find what it wrong, and can treat it. Because my boyfriend is still feeling some pain, but they don't know the cause, therefore can't make it go away. Good Luck, i hope you feel better soon.

Both other answers are correct. You're apendix is in the right lower quadrent, very low. It's at the bottom of the cecum (begining of the large intestine.) Location is one indicator, but only the resources of a medical facility can tell you for sure.
Sorry. It seems that you don't have med ins. I use the VA, probably the only benefit of being a vet. (I don't live where I could buy a house & the edu bene's are extremely restrictive.) Someone coming from the middle east has pref over me for a governmental job.

It could be. I recently did a project on appendicitis. The pain DOES not stay in teh lower right. It is different for different people and it can feel pain in diffferent places. I know from personal experience and from my project. So don't mess with it, go to the doctors.

As my doctor told me when I had my appendix out, there's no such thing as a "classic case" of appendicitis. I was never nauseated. No other symptoms except a belly ache. A blood test will tell for sure.

It could be a uti becuase the kidney's are on both sides and they can cause pain like that. I had a urine tract infection and it went from the right to the left side.

Could be a virus, but if it is your appendix , u will not be able to keep any foods down at all, they will automatically come up.
Could be something u ate, try to take a pepcid AC and glass of milk.

that is a possibility but you won't know for sure unless you see the doctor. it could be a bacterial infection or something else too.
