I have a kirby sweeper that I recently replaced the plug on. Well a few days ago the wires came loose inside the plug and touched each other now my sweeper wont work? What gives did I ruin the motor. the switch, or something simple like a fuse. Thanks

If the wires touched, they probably arced and burned the ends of the wire if not the insulation as well. You may have burned the motor, but I don't think it's very likely.

It seems to me that your circuit breaker should have tripped (or fuse popped). After tightening the connection, try plugging it in somewhere else where you know the power works.

If none of this works, you may want to take it to a tech to have them look at it with their testers to locate the problem in the sweeper.
