I was 60% effaced and dialated to a 4 at 36 weeks pregnant (went into the hospital because I lost my mucous plug) and had my baby a day and half later - so I would say you will be in labor VERY soon. Don't do anything to speed it up, though, because you are still really early and the longer it takes, the better. Don't be too worried, though - Bradley was 4 weeks early and weighed 5 1/2 lbs and was 19.2 inches. A little small, but he was perfectly healthy, never went into NICU, and was able to room in with me the entire time!

OMG!! Has your doctor put you on bed rest?? I was 30 weeks and 60% effaced and 2 cm dilated and I've been on bedrest since and for the next 2 weeks.

The way I understand it, you must already be in labor if you are 5cm and have no cervix left. I did not feel my contractions very much until I was 4cm and 100%.

Hopefully you are on your way to the hospital right now! They can help you go into labor with drugs, or at least monitor you if you choose to go drug free. Best of luck to you and your baby!

They advised me that i could go into exertions quickly and too see my surgeon interior the morning. I went residing house and my water broke that night. I had my daughter at 32 weeks and 3 days. She became into completely effective. She became into fairly respiratory on her very own and went residing house with me once I left. the only element that must be diverse is that the toddler ought to could be in a vehicle mattress for a rapid time.

I say within days.....5 cm is a lot! what has your dr said about it? I'd say it's still early for the baby to come...maybe they try to stop it for at least 2 more weeks.

When your body and the baby decide it's time. It could be tomorrow, it could be in six weeks. It's whenever your time is....congrats!
