I don't think its such a good idea. I mean just because they register their name doesn't mean they are straight. Have you ever heard of the down low? What if someone who is gay registers as straight just to use someone straight as a cover and then the cover finds out and sues you because you said that these people registered here are straight. It sounds like a long shot but we live in very litigious times.

Well there are already gay dating sites--so it looks like it is too late for your idea.
But if you want to create a national database that lists everyone that gay--that would be novel and fuel for a zillion lawsuits.
Why not start a website that lists all the morons? You could be at the top of your own list.

The whole business concept is based on the false premise that people are as obsessed with homosexuality as you are.
I don't care who is gay in my general vicinity. As long as they are not trying to rape me, I'm just fine with them being gay. But you know the odd thing about gay people? They don't go around raping straight men or trying to 'convert' people. Gay people are just people who are born with a different sexual orientation than what is considered 'normal.'
So with regards to your business idea, I think it sucks. First off it is helping to continue intolerance in American society. Second, why would a bunch of straight people pay you to advertise their sexuality on your web site? Third, why would companies wish to advertise on an overtly discriminatory web site? Fourth, what would stop closeted gay people from adding their name to your database to avoid suspicion? Fifth, if closeted gay people could cheat the system, wouldn't it then arouse suspicion about some of the straight people on your site?
Honestly, the whole idea is utterly stupid. If you want to know if someone is gay, ask them. If they punch you in the face, maybe you deserved it.
You might want to re-evaluate your own sexuality, because in my experience people this obsessed have something they are hiding from others or themselves. Do you have anything you'd like to share with the group?

1) I commend you on your entrepeneurial skills.
2) I don't think you'll get very far with this though. Most dating sites, etc.. have options that let you choose your sexual preference ... So, I don't see how a heterosexual would actively look for a homosexual or vice versa.

do you advise a gay itemizing? definite i think of that is a sturdy thought. many governments have already got human beings try on a polygraph and shop a database of all gay human beings. additionally muslims, artists, blacks, fat human beings, and persons who like heavy metallic. that is functional once you may launch an attack on a particular minority or to confirm the place all those damn sinners stay.

i hope you doctor up your wording you will get allot of flack about singling people out based on if they are gay or not but it kinda sounds like a personals page and one thing the Internet doesn't need is another "hookup page" good luck though
