I think that he was kind of torn apart. First of all, he looked like his actions really stunned him. He actually made me believe that he had gone over the edge. On the other hand, he looks like he was enjoying his rant. He was kind of scary.

It is hard to forgive someone who offends you racially. Because you can't really defend yourself. If you have coloured skin, nothing in the world can change that. Unless you've taken Michael Jackson's De-Blacking 101! Kramer hit those guys below the belt and I feel that his career has been destroyed!!

Mel and others blame their rants on booze but I don't buy that. As a non-drinker I have no idea how booze affects someone, but I feel that whatever you really feel or hold in will come out somehow. In Kramer's case, he might not be racist but he has potential and it showed.

I won't stop watching Seinfeld re-runs but I won't support his failing career. Too bad Kramer, you shouldn't have blown it.

Plus, Michael Richards (not Kramer) is actually a REALLY smart guy. Apparently, all he does all day is read and study; which is kind of ironic, considering how much of a goof ball Kramer was.

Of course he was sorry. First of all, there should be no such thing as a word that is "OK" for some people to use, and not others. It should not be used by anybody.

Second, hecklers ARE really aggravating, and they should be removed from the audience.

I too, love Kramer. I don't know if his apologies are sincere or not. What I do believe is that all white people are prejudiced to some degree and when blacks start acting the way most of them do, then things like that come out.

It's human nature to err.

Let he who is without sin throw the first stone.

Oh but wait. Let's not forget that black comedians say negative things about whites all the time and people laugh at them. Why couldn't we laugh at Kramer instead of putting him down?

Leave the man alone, he's only human!

i think he is very ashamed of his behavior and will probably do everything he can to try to make amends. he is so eccentric...and i really think he could be unmedicated bi-polar, given the recent new info about the death threats against other ppl he's worked with in the past. the real "kramer" told him to use some of his seinfeld money to buy an act...that was rich. michael richards is funny in sketch comedy, but he's not really good at stand-up. he's just always going to be stereo-typed as kramer. that's what his audience expects, and he can't pull it off. sad, but it's not like he HAS to work to support himself these days...he should take this time to do some reflection and self-discovery.

I don't know, but I've got to wonder where THAT much hate and anger comes from.

The young black men who were heckling him WERE morons to be sure. But if you go into comedy, you have to be prepared to deal effectively and humorously with hecklers, it's a part of the job. His behavior shows he is not a professional.

Other apologies from other celebrities came from incidents in their personal life. Michael Richard's apology sprung from an incident in his professional life. I'm not entirely sure why, but that is significant to me, probably because he is saying on some level that he felt it was OK to place that crap into the public discourse.

I'm not saying his career should be totally destroyed over this, but he needs to feel the pain a bit longer, I think.

Did you hear him apologize on Letterman show.
"I want to say sorry to any Afro-Americans"
Afro-americans? Does he mean african americans?

Besides that little thing there, I am sure he is sorry, he was out of line. No "Kramer" wouldn't of did that. People screw up though....part of being human.

He is genuinely sorry he let the world know what a racist he is due to the negative impact this will have on his career, but I doubt he is genuinely sorry that he feels that way about people of color.

Imagine going to work everyday and having reporters and cameras in your face recording every single thing you do then writing a biased report on you. You have people screaming at you at work you suck you suck. after a while you would get pissed and lose your temper. Give the man a break

Yeah... Seinfeld was my favorite show. He may be a little nutty, but I think he just reacted (poorly) to some ******* heckling him, just because they are *******.... I may not have used the same words, but I would have yelled back at them too (without using the N word, though...)
