I missed my period this week. It was supposed to start on Monday, and i have only been spotting brown on and off for the last couple days. No other pregnancy signs, other than the spotting. When should I take a hpt? I know that you can take some early, but I want it to be reliable!! How long should i wait to go to the doctor?
One other note, stress might be the reason... but would i still be spotting brown? I thought that was a sign of implantation.

You would implant 5-10 days after ovulation...not when you are late for your period.
If you are regular and late already, you should be able to test now.

If you missed your period ,spotting only, then take the test tomorrow morning. There are alot of hormones in your first pee of the day. If you go to your Dr. then he can either do a blood test and send it away, or a urine test and find out right in the office.
If you are pregnant then you should be around 2-3 weeks already, you can test anytime now and get accurate results.

You can take a pregnancy test now. Since your past your expected period day, any brand will work. You don't need to use the most sensitve brands - they're for if your tesing before your period is due.

i always test the 1st day of my missed period, 1st thing in the morning, its never been to early for me and most test can pick it up as early as 4/5 days before you miss.
go get a test to put your mind at rest

you can test tomorow in the morning. and you should make an appt and tell them how far along you are if you are pregnant. good luck.
