Hi,
I wish I could tell you yes, but bush has created such a catastrophic disaster in the middle east through his failed policy's and tactics, we will be lucky if we are not facing WW III.
There is a civil war brewing as a result of bushs policys in wanting to force change on a people who do not want bushs changes.
His policyls have all but destroyed the country of Iraq, and someone said, the Iraq people were much better off under the rule of Sadam Hussein. At least then, they had a country that wasn't in total ruin, with the growing threat of civil war.
Donald Rumsfeld was set up as scape goat for the bush failures in Iraq.
If you need verification, refer to the Iraq study group results that are now being released. Bottom line, Bushs policy's in Iraq are a total failure.
The actual facts and figures of the enormous failure in Iraq are being withheld from the American people by this administration.
This president has generated so much hatred against the USA we can only hope to have anyone replace him as president, be they Republican or Democrat. That in itself will be a huge and monumental improvement over what we have now.
I as a democrat hold no ill feelings against the republican party, as they, like the democrats and independents, are the victims of the bush presidency and I don't think any of us planned on this.
Good question,
Darryl S.

I hadn't realized that the jihadists hatred spread across the entire two continents of North and South America and including Central America of course. I'm not a liberal but I do believe that hatred of the Bush-led politices of the UNITED STATES WILL CONTINUE. The hatred does NOT extend to South America -- nor Canada I would imagine.

The hatred has always been there, Bush just provides an easy target for people who don't like this fact.
And maybe the war on terror has increased the number of terrorists and hardened their resolve (although the 9/11 hijackers seemed pretty resolved to me), but at the same time it has devasted their infrastructure and sources of funding, making it more difficult to bring the war here.
God bless and give thanks to the soldiers who are on the front line bearing the brunt of these extremeists so that people like you and me can sleep safe at night.

Poor old America has done nothing to these people. Right? America is the victim here. Right ? Ever asked yourself why they hate us ? What reason could people with Islamic beliefs possibly have to hate America. Right ? I can think of 5 or 6 off the top of my head without digging for any more. Puffing the big conservative chest out, straightening the tie, raising the flag and locking and loading will not solve the problem, history shows us that this kind of attitude will only exacerpate the problem. The liberal idea of trying to eliminate the threat of terrorism through dialogue and mutual concessions is a better way foreward than trying to obliterate it through aggression. Bring it out into the open and lets see what we have to deal with.

Perhaps the "toppling" of Bush by the American people would send a message to the Middle East, that "could" weaken the hatred somewhat, guess we'll just have to wait and see...!!!!

No, the failed policies of the Bush administration have exacerbated that problem enough that we will be dealing with its consequences for years to come.
However, Bush leaving office will mean that we stand of chance of doing something right for a change.
Hope that helps!

I think so, since Bush is the figurehead to their agenda to kill Americans. When Bush is no longer associated with Americans, then the hatred will die down.

The hatred has always been there. President Bush had nothing to do with it. Does anyone remember the 1st WTC bombing in 1993? 9/11 was not the first attack on our soil. Every embassy bombing was an attack on our soil. President Bush is the only one who has tried to stop them.

Even I HELLBENT, the extreme radical Islamic sympathizer liberal, do not believe that!
They'll still hate us and still want to kill us.
I just hope we are smart enough not to elect a Democrat Surrender Type in 2008.

I have not ever understand liberal logic so many of people here say that if we didn't attack them and piss them off we would not have so much terrorist, please apply this logic to other aspect of society, stop going after child molesters drug dealers, rapist etc you are only pissing them off and just creating more.
