If your product is only 3 months old it will be under warranty. All Packard Bell computers have a 1 year warranty.

Are you sure of the product number? Can't find any info about it on the Packard Bell website, but there is a R1938.

The R1938 has a NEC ND-6750 DVD drive. Search on google for "NEC ND-6750" and you'll find a few places selling it for just over £40.

Packard Bell is no longer a company, Your laptop is quite outdated, you could shop around for a replacement drive at many sites, you would probably be better off getting an external drive. And the best thing to do is to start looking for a new laptop and also where to donate your current one.
