We lost contact after high school and now 10 years later we are talking again. She however is in a relationship and I just got out of a 2 year relationship. Its great talking to her again I just don't know if I should share with her how I feel in fear it may ruin a great friendship.

That's a sticky one, whether she's hetero or not (which you didn't specify). I can understand hating to lose a friendship over the truth. But for your sake, you may have to tell the truth, cuz it may eat at you forever. Perhaps you're going to have to weigh "Which consequences can I live with? Never telling her and waiting.....or telling her and losing the friendship (but also perhaps gaining something else?")

I'm hetero, and once had a lesbian make it quite clear to me that she was attracted to me. And it quite frankly turned me off royally.

But understand that she did it very wrong. She was like gum trying to stick to me, even following me home once. It would have been better for ME if she had been much more casual, held some mature distance, and made it clear that nothing was going to occur on her part if I didn't want that kind of relationship.

On the other side of the coin, if you're both lesbian, dang--I lean taking a risk towards telling her!! So what if she's in a relationship! If she's committed to the other, she'll tell you. If she's not, perhaps you two will develop.

And perhaps you can maintain the friendship, if she's not interested, as long as you don't do like the gal did above--sticky and needy.

And as far as you....I hope you are secure enough to know that rejection does not define who you are. You simply move on until the right person comes alone, remembering the love you felt with tender memories, and knowing that it's meant to be with someone else.

My two cents--hope they help. :)

Is she also a lesbian? If she's in a relationship with a man, it may be an issue, and you will probably lose your friendship. If she's in a relationship with some other woman, then you should see if it is possible.

You should slowly work your way back into her life, eventually getting closer to her than her boyfriend until you are able to sabatoge their relationship... then all you have to do is step in and pick up the pieces.

Hmm, you talk to her about that. If she feels scared, you just tell her that "lets just become best friends".
