one word answer: HORMONES!

When you stop taking birth control pills, there can be some side effects because the pills have been replacing your natural hormones, and your body needs to kick back in producing the hormones normally. I'd expect after a month you should be feeling ok. A shorter period isn't anything to worry about. It could be just that you've got yourself mentally worked up about getting pregnant and creating those symptoms with your mind. But it's also possible to get pregnant right after stopping the pill. Best thing you can do is go to the doctor and get checked out, or at least take a home pregnancy test to put your mind at ease. If the test is negative and you're still feeling bad, just go to the doctor and get checked out.

Some women notice no change in their headaches when they are on OCs, and other women notice an improvement in their headaches when on OCs. Switching to a pill with a different dose or type of estrogen can also change headaches (make them better or worse). If headaches are a problem only during the week off OCs, it is possible to take the OC continuously, skipping the placebo pill or pill-free week. Doing this will cause women to have unpredictable light spotting for a few months, usually followed by minimal bleeding. Most gynecologists are familiar with using OCs this way to treat endometriosis, and are comfortable doing it for women with headache problems as well. The drawback to continuous use is that women will not have monthly withdrawal bleeding, which many women find reassuring as evidence that they are not pregnant.

Its because during the time u had your birth control pills, the medicine goes in to your body and functions. But the more longer you eat, your body starts to get normal to it. So, when you had stop having birthcontrol pills, your body gets not normal as usual. So that makes you get headaches.

I was on birthcontrol for 6 yrs and when i came off, my hormones got so messed up i would pass out and loss conciousness alot, blood pressure dropped, my heart would stop for a few seconds, my face broke out, and finally my doctor told me i cannot have kids..... all because my hormones!!!!!! and this would never have happen had my gyno told me to begin with.. Plus my body does not even produce "eggs" anymore cause it got used to not producing them while on birth control.

I never did, but everyone is different. If you have been on them for a long time it might be like stopping any other drug. Talk to your doctor. I am never able to stay on them for more than a few months myself.

YOU'RE PREGNANT!!!!

Nah, but I hear they have some pretty mean after effects. My sister was sick for months and months, couldn't keep food in after she stopped.

Lost a lot of weight though...
