i like Alana. i don't like Patience. what if you have a child that BOUNCES off the wall! lmao..i don't like 'emotions or descriptive words' as baby names.
ie. Joy, Faith, Hope, Patience, Charity, etc.

It's pretty, personally I just wouldn't use Patience for a name. I like Alana though. Good luck!

Could be shortened to Ala Pati later, that seems to be the fashion with kids in school, looking at it from a kiddies perspective. It sounds like a nice name to me, obviously your surname would by just as important, and that's up to you to work out, but it has got a certain ring to it. All the best Emmaleigh and have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Alana is pretty. I'm not to fond of names like patience, hope, faith, trust, love, integrity, etc-- but that's just me. The two names do sound right together:)

i have a baby on the way and names have been a big topic. i like the name as long as it flows with the last name. BUT we have tried to avoid names like faith, hope, patience. they seem a little old fashioned and maybe your child will have very little patience. which would make it an ironic unchangeable issue.

I like the name Alana. I hate Patience though--I don't like kids being named for virtues--I think it jinxes them to be the opposite of their name.
