My mother obtained her masters degree in education administartion while raising 2 children after my dad deserted her, re-married and raised two more children, became the first female administrator in history in her school district, nursed her husband through cancer, and put her children through college while battling cancer only to succumb to it a week befor I received my degree. She was an amazing woman who instilled strength and perseverance in me while teaching me to love and respect myself and my mate even though neither of us are perfect and to reach for the stars even though noone has ever touched them.

I was going to say Condoleeza Rice- I truly admire her... but, on the other hand, I think my mom gets my vote- She's raised her kids, stuck with my dad through good times and bad, has worked hard all her life, loves being a grandma (do you know how many grandmas let their grandkids yank on their hair just because the kid's their grandchild? Prob most of them- that is a special person)- and get this- she's still smiling.

Oh hands down Condi Rice. She's what I would talk to my daughter about (if I had one) to show that you can do anything. Too many Paris Hiltons of the world prancing around telling young girls that it's fine to be sluttish and not hit the books when that's the only thing that needs to be on a child's/teenager's mind.
