The first Black Knight from Camelot is the modern Black Knight ancestor. I think Marvel has something planed for him but they change his weapon with any explination.

Are you talking about the ORIGINAL Black Knight, the arch enemy of Iron Man? He rides a winged horse, named Aragon. He was a badass mofo. I think he spoke with a British accent and he had an electro lance. He has been in several Marvel stories, besides Iron Man. I love the 60s animation that had Marvel heroes. It showed Iron Man, Hulk and Captain America. He appeared in the Iron Man cartoon. I think there were three Black Knights. The first two were villians. The newest is a good guy, I think. He is the descendant of the original.

Don't listen to these previous idiots, obviously they have NO CLUE who he is.

I always hated the black knight, he has the stupidest weapon ever.

C'mon the f ucking ebony blade?

He can't even kill someone, swords were meant to kill, not dance around like a pansy. He can't even use it like a sword if he can't cut.

If someone did thier research on the character and mideval swordsmanship and fight masters (leichtenhaur, silver, di liberi) and incorporated some interesting concepts they could have an interesting character that might actually reflect that he went back in time and studied with some old masters.

Also I'm not surprised Marvel would dump the character entirely or turn him into a loon given what we know now about the character who king arthur and "camelot" was likely historically based on. It would be cool to see a romanesque black knight or celtic black knight (both of which are potential sources for the myth).

hmm...that is interesting. While I can't claim to be a real follower of the Black Knight, I have followed some of his stories, and have a general knowledge of most Marvel characters to some degree. I wish I had an answer for you, but you might try the Marvel website for hero histories, as they have some decent entries. Good Luck!

That was not the point of the recent story in Excalibur. If all he ever did was sword fight, then it would get old quick. Not that the Black Knight is much to begin with. Maybe this is an attempt to actually make him interesting.
