Well I've been wearing them since the song was popular.

So yeah, they are forever.

Of course they are! The way to wear them may change over the years, (to the waist, on the hip, skinny jeans, bell bottoms...) but the jeans are always there as a never-ending trend that keeps getting more and more popular. We couln't live without jeans! They are a staple of everyone's closet!

Plus, not only do they look great with anything, they are also comfy, sexy, and durable. It takes a long time before a pair of jeans tear!

actually they might possibly be forever. You buy them new. And you wear and wear them so they are all broken in and comfy. You have wear spots on the knees, butt. The bottom sometimes gets frayed. Then you get a hole in them here or there. You patch that. And patch and patch and repair. Finally there is a lot of stuff fixed on the jeans. If you are female, when they wear beyond repair, you can open them up and create a long denim skirt out of the jeans. Or cut them up and make a few bags and purses out of one pair. They can be cut to make pillows. If you collect a bunch of them, you can take them all apart at the middle seams and they become fabric of a sort. And you can make a comforter out of them, cover a chair or sofa. If they mean the universe to you, you can save a piece and use it as a matting for a photo of you wearing them. And finally, you can use them as a sort of partial blanket for your doggie so he or she is more secure if you can't be there with him or her all the time. Your scent will be on the cloth, even when it was washed a million times.

I was in high school in the late 80's. First we wore straight-leg jeans with rips and tears all over them, then skinny jeans "pinch rolled" (really tight at the ankle). We swore we would never sport the bell-bottom jeans our parents did, but then, lo and behold - ended up wearing (and loving) them! Fashion is just recycled over and over. Don't throw out your bell-bottoms yet, they will come back around again. Yes, I agree, blue jeans are FOREVER!

Very definitely! I started wearing blue jeans when I was a teen-ager. I'm an old but young at heart lady and still wear them all the time. I can't stand the old-lady looking dresses and formless pantsuits offered nowadays. Just give me jeans, T-shirts & Reeboks forever!!!

God I hope so. I love jeans. The style may not always be for them to be blue, but who knows?

On an unrelated note, I am absolutely enraged that tapered leg jeans are coming back in style! I hope they keep making bootcut and flared!

Hey boo, if they've gone from the 19th century into the 21st, what do you think. Even if they should redesign them in some way, they will still be "blue jeans".

not sure but think so.
I always wonder if I grow old, will "my generation" still wear them? Or will there come a time we get converted into flowery dresses without any form? Will we all have grey curly hair and grumpy mornings? I wonder, but soon enough I'll know... just like you...

Yes. People love them, they're comfortable & casual, & they never get old- only the styles change!
