Every way I turn I am being taxed, but when I look at all the people that have scrounged off benefits all their lives and have never saved why do they get my money for housing benefits, smoking, drinking, watching Sky TV etc, and I cannot afford these luxuries

He is giving his cronies jobs with massive wages for doing a couple of days a week. Seen MP's expenses, more than most people earn in a year, they have all got their snouts in the trough, and you and me pay for it, so don't vote next time and wait for the revolution.

Because the government is a farce. I went on a benefits course last week and the lady teaching the class was angry about all this too. She said the only way for people to get what their owed is by saving cash in secret places. Anywhere it is placed electronically, the government will find ways to peel off money in tax. Even when you die they take more off the people who inherit it! I was advised to either keep my savings in my mattress or buy uncut (illegal probably) diamonds from Holland. Benefits advice from someone who applies it to real life... it was great.

Oh how I agree - I am in the same position as you and wonder why I even bothered to save for my old age. It makes me really mad when I see healthy neighbours claiming various benefits because of their "ill health", or others getting housing benefits when they brag about the interest they get off of investments they have put in their children's' names. I can't afford to run a car but elderly neighbours in council housing go on expensive holidays every year on their benefits money !

It really does annoy me! My life would be so much easier if I was a single mother on benefits however I have too much motivation to do that and pride too I suppose. The government taxes us at every opportunity, well those of who work for a living anyway!

Maybe the MPs shouldn't be getting huge pay rises and we should overhaul the benefits system so that those of us who aork and pay our own way get rewarded for once!

We have to pay tax to keep schools and hospitals open, would you rather even more shut? We all have to put up with the scroungers in this world,

Ask yourself this, do you want to be a non contributing scrounger, or a working class contributor.

I detest ponces as much as anyone, but i will never stop thinking i shouldn't be paying my dues, the taxes i pay, allowed my father a dignified end within a great local hospital earlier in the year.

If you know scroungers, grass em up!

Its the way of the world it seems - you really shouldnt tar everyone with the same brush either. I know lots of people who are sick and in benefits or the elderly on state pensions and they certainly arent living a life of luxury xx

Because he can. Labour likes to think they know how to spend your money better than you do. The Tories used to want you to be more independent, but not sure they still do. Next general election vote none of the above.
