I checked the council's website, the wasteaware website, etc., etc., and it's all driving me round the bend. There seems to be nowhere to dipose of carpets - all the rubbish tips they list are waste recycling centres. How do I get even a list of tips that take carpets in Herts? I don't want to pay the council to come to collect it when I can take it myself.

Wait until after midnight, then load up the rug and drive until you find a place with a dumpster (like an apartment complex or store).

you may have a close-by sell off which you will take it to. we've one right here and that they pass via the load. They weigh the truck once you come back in and weigh it once you go away and you pay plenty in line with pound. or you may cut back it up in to twelve" sections and in simple terms toss a think approximately to your rubbish each week. Takes longer whether this is loose!

use them as a weed supressor by first stripping off the top layer of soil, then lay the carpet, and cover it with bark. I did it ten years ago, and the weeds still have not appeared!

There's a dump in Hillingdon that takes refuse like that. think you need to pay £5.

It's a little way from you, but not that far!

Email me if you want the address
