Apparently it's now scientific fact that people are in a better mood at the end of the week. Thursday's the best day to have lunch meetings and to interview and be interviewed. Friday isn't much good for anything because all your creativity is focused on what you're gonna do at the weekend. You can sack people on Friday's actually, because you'll be able to listen sympathetically as they moan at you. Mondays are good for doing repetitive stuff that doesn't take a lot of imaginative thinking, like facts and figures.

come on dude - the answer is obvious - guys know they have weekend coming up the morrow -to indulge urself in - also payday. anybody will be in good spirits when good tidings are upon us, similarly people have monday blues - the opposite of friday galas - the hangover is not yet over (or they had to terminate whatever they were indulging in) and have to face one whole week of problems, at home or at the workplace, problems postponed for the subsequent week the preious friday... want more reasons? looks like u are not married or dont have a social life to boast of. there...

YES!!! I observed the same behavior in my co-workers. Let me guess, Friday is payday right?! People who are generally nasty and unfriendly seem more cooperative and cheerful on Thursday and Friday. Obviously, those miserable folks don't have anything to look forward to but "payday". Pray for them.

Thanks for the two points. This is no mystery, the closer you get to the weekend and pay day the better you feel.
