Be cause they were probably taught that they must please a man. Many women base their feelings about themselves on how men "see" them. If they bolster his confidence, they think he will love them. It is a very sad thing to watch.

They shouldn't, but instead of using uplifting word os encouragement, they belittle themselves to below his level making him feel better. Its a crappy way to live, but some people find belittling easier than praising and some seem to ignore any compliment they are given.

I tell you what, the NUMBER ONE turn-off for me is when a woman personally and destructivel criticizes herself. I hate that with a passion. It's like questioning why I might be with someone. Us guys are pretty simple: if we don't like you, then we won't be with you.

If this is happening then i have never seen it, my wife tends to put her self down but this is because she does not believe what her capabilities really are, once you believe in your self then you should never belittle yourself for anyone.
