Her patience and sense of understanding. My wife jumps the gun at everything whereas mom in law thinks things thru and always seems to know thr right thing to do or say. father in law says shes always been like that.

Absolutely nothing.
My wife has exceeded her mother in every aspect of life, from education, number of children, children's achievements, career, physical appearance, health, hobbies, outlook on life and any other detail I can recall; as of next year, she will exceed her in years married - she's already exceeded her in years HAPPILY married.
Any suggestions I could make to her have nothing to do with her mom doing it any better.

i'm not a guy, but i don't think my husband wants me to inherit anything from my mom. he doesn't like the way she acts, her sarcasm, she yells all the time and cusses at everyone.
