Well, that's the thing. There has to BE a goal.

The story has changed so many times since the invasion that it is impossible to determine at this time. I don't think we will know the "goal" of this war for many years. I don't expect to hear it in my lifetime and I am 56 years old. History may tell us why the Bush/Cheney/Wolfowitz/Rove/Rumsfeld group did this, but I expect any correspondence that might shed light on it has long since been shredded. Bush may regret it later in life and admit the real reason, but my guess is that he will not want to be remembered negatively in that regard. My suspicion is that it was a combination of the strong Israeli lobby, the desire to get control of the oil before Russia, France and Germany signed agreements with Saddam, and the personal Bush family desire for revenge against Saddam.

the goal of this war has never been clearly defined and seems to change with the blowing of the wind.I personally think the original goal was to avenge the former president bush, and to get some money in the hands of politcal thieves in D.C.,I never really heard of some of the contractors who won the no-bid contracts who happened to be associated with the vice president(one at least namely the big h-burton)until congress approved that 87 billion dollar budget, then within 24 hours they had comercials in rotation using military people, after that the goal change again to getting the war over with a victory for the president and our troops.

No one knows for sure anymore. granted goals can change.. but in something this large you shouldn't have had to change your goal 4 or 5 times.. Bush has changed his goals out of convenience rather than in an attempt to fix the problems... so no one knows what or why we are really there.. or why we were there in the first place...

The goal was ostensibly to find the WMDs and get rid of terrorism. In that regard, we have failed miserably. However, I think that the REAL reason why we went over there was so that we could get rid of Saddam Hussein, since Bush had grievances against him, and make the oil and defense companies richer. In that regard, perhaps Bush was telling the truth when he said, "Mission accomplished."

i do no longer think of it relatively is approximately triumphing any conflict. We gave the Iraquian's their freedom and now attempting to coach them to combat their very own wars against the insurgents. It became into noted as "Operation Iraq Freedom." I even have photos the place the Iraquian's have been happy the yankee's got here to unfastened up them from Saddam; style of like as quickly as we liberated France from the Nazi you already know and ended worldwide conflict II and destroyed Nazi Germany. examine your historic previous. Saddam in my e book became into no longer something yet yet another Hitler.

which.. as far as i've looked.. is to fleece the system at the expense of the masses, and get oil - which goes into the pockets of those in charge. just consolidating power/wealth... steps towards nwo
checkout http://myspace.com/fightnwo - an interesting site i found
and.. http://honorablepassion.wiki.com/steps
the general idea - is order out of chaos... create controlled chaos & make money on it by being on the both sides of a conflict. even katrina made money for various contractors/whatnot.
people are largely controlled - there's cool tech out there that they dont want the public to have, because they wouldn't have 'control' then. our world is engineered to be stupid - if it wasn't, we'd have starwars type teaching programs (like the clones were using), and we'd all have a good idea as to whats going on in the world.
