What's the difference between a "fret buzz" and a "sitar" effect?

I can't seem to find what's causing that unwanted sitar sound on my guitar! It is a fret or bridge issue?

call a guitar center and ask advice too! it may be the strings are "frayed" and "old". maybe the strings do not lay right on the bridge or the nut? take it to a store and have it all looked at too.
