It is a very unfortunate situation. My brother took his life when his wife (to be ex) asked if he'd like to meet her future husband. He apparently was not up to the meeting. When she got there the next day he had taken his life the previous evening. My brother had mental health issues for which he refused medication. I understand he must have been so awfully miserable. While I miss him terribly I'm glad the pain is over for him. If we would have known we would have told him NO ONE is worth your life.

It's very painful to go through. It monopolizes all your thoughts to the point you think you are going crazy, nothing helps. Some people are stronger than others. I also feel that drugs and alcohol get in the mix making people even more depressed. They can not see any hope for themselves. As bad as I have ever been I never seriously thought I would kill myself. They have to be so bad off, they can't think straight. Let's all pray we never have to go through those feelings. It's almost as bad to watch a loved one going through such a situation. We know it won't last forever, but you can't convince them of that.

Usually people kill themselves to stop the pain. It's not that they cared that much about their lover (even though they do), it is just that they can't face the pain of starting over again, when they figured they was so close to reaching their dream or goal. Same thing when they get fired from their job, the pain (and fear) of starting over again can be really deep.

In many instances, the suicidal nut cases must have been just that to begin with-- NutCases. Sometimes it takes a person a while to realize that they are living with or dating someone who is a major Controller, has major Personality Problems, or major Drug Problems or major Depression or major Anger or is a professional Alcoholic, or as I prefer to call them, Obnoxious Drunks.
They depend on others to provide whatever it is that they themselves lack, so when the provider is gone or wants out, they are lost. But they were probbly lost to begin with.

They can't be all that stable to begin with then. Yes it's extremely hard to go on after the love of your life leaves you but logic should step in at some point and some people just don't have mental capability to see that.

A person who kills themself was not happy with themselves. pitty is an easy way to put their problem on someone else. yes heartbreak can push someone over the edge but it probably was just icing on the cake from previous pain.

My guess is it puts a end to all the pain they are feeling. I wont ever really understand this myself but everyone deals with things differently.
