oops i have the same problem. can you kiss your girl/boy in a public place? i can't. everybody have a fear of something. i only found out yesterdday that i'm afraid of hights. but that's not all. i also have a fear for garlic and green peppers. and when i go outside i feel like getting dizzy. so i rushed back inside. to overcome such fears you should practice to do that in front of people. I did'nt held a 21st party for myself cause i'm afraid of people. for me going outside is for me going into the wild.
so good luck with your fear. I have my own to take care off.

People won't know if you are nervous or not when you take the stage to speak, so you have the upper hand so to speak. Just remember, that if you feel comfortable, so will your audience. If you begin speaking and you get all nervous and begin, stammering, your audience will feel that and start squirming.
Simply put, just tell yourself that you are no different than your audience. You can command and audience by presenting a calm self imagine. Even if you feel really scared inside.

The simplest way is to practice your speech -- a lot. Speak it out loud as though you're doing it for your audience. Do it alone at first so you can get your rhythm and tone down properly. Then practice on some friends or family.
The practice combined with a solid knowledge of your topic should help ease your anxiety.

Nobody sees you as an audience. Everybody sees you by himself . this means that you are not talking to a hundred people. You are talking to only one person a hundred times.
There are more people who are scared of public speaking than those who are scared of dyeing, which means that at a funeral , most people wold prefer being in the box than delivering the eulogy

Practice, practice practice! Try saying your speech in front of a mirror to yourself, try saying it to a friend or your parents. One more thing, the better you know your speech and what you are talking about the more confident you will be about it. If you know all there is to know about your topic you are already going to be confident! Lastly, don't psych yourself out before you get up there. Is it in front of a class? Chances are they all have to do it too and understand that it isn't easy. Don't worry about it and try to have fun!

Well to be honest you have to fake it all the way just act like your in font of your room at home. When you speak look above there heads and it makes it look like you have eye contact with them. You can do believe it in you heart i believe in you.
