You don't have to name him Ervin Maurice. How about?
Brandon Maurice
Ethan Maurice
Damien Maurice

How determined are you to use Trayvious? May I point out that the child (and for the first 18 years of his life you) will constantly have to spell their name and will have to live with the inevitable misspellings regardless for the rest of his life. You should really reconsider your obligations regarding the father, and I agree on Ervin Maurice. Here is an idea: check what the names mean and try to find out whether names with the same meaning exist in other languages. They might sound nicer and you have still kind of kept your promise... Hope you get it right. Good luck!

Are you saying Trayvious will be the middle name? I actually think Ervin Maurice is a nice name but I wouldn't give him that name if the father and I wasn't married (just my opinion). Trayvious....uh..... well..... it's your child and you can name him whatever you like.

You can still give your child part of his father's family line by having his daddy dig into family names. My daughter is named after my great grandfather.Wait, give me a chance.I know Bertha and Horance aren't very lovely, but go back as far as you can, to great great grandparents and so forth. You may be surprised of what you find.Your son may not have one of his father's names but a family name from his side could mean just as much.Your son may enjoy having that much depth and meaning in his name. And he might pass that down to his children.

Trayvious is not a name. It's a made up conglomeration of consonants and vowels. Please do your child a favor and select a proper name for him.

And please remember that baby's grow up. I'm sure many people think that "Precious" is an adorable name for a tiny newborn baby girl. But on a 35 year old woman, it's ridiculous!

One day he will be an old man... being a baby does not last nearly as long as being an old man.

I'm still backing Dante.

But maybe Aston, or Damian, or Martin, or Sean.
