What do you need to fund these things?

MONEY.

What do you need to eat?

MONEY.

What do you need to drink?

MONEY

What do you need to live in a warm house instead of crawling around on the cold streets?

I think in this day and age, money is the most important thing to most people.

Thats why our world is disgraceful right now.
Its all about materialism.

I wish it wasn't, but it is.
Some people just strive to get more money, rather than get to know their children, etc.

P.S. If money is the root of all evil, then why does the Vatican, the church, have so much of it?

They have so many priceless artifacts and they could sell them and give the money to the poor, like the preach.
But no, they keep them, which makes them hypocritical as they also preach (from Jesus) 'Give away all your possessions to the poor' etc. (to become a disciple.)

If your going to ask, how do I know all this, since I don't live in the Vatican. etc. Well my grandparents work with the pope.

it's important to survive in a corprate mind set! but i don't have that mind set! I work in a corprate world i use money to get the greedy things i want! and hopefully my own land! once i have my own land i won't need money! I will hunt for food and eat berries if i have to! but will not spend my time working to have something that means nothing to trees and animales!
but haven't youwatched surviver man? He didn't have any money!
and those mountian lions don't give a rat's butt about money! and when i'm in the woods or forest money means nothing!
At that time money isn't anything!
but if you do keep the mindset of Corpate world then YES money would be everything to that person!
but that's very closed minded and doesn't leave much room for personal growth!

I would be a simpleton to agree. Yet money pays the bills and stops plenty acheheads. Money could also do a lot of other things in this world. Yet the most important? I would say the most powerful influence in the world.

I agree with you that money is the most important thing in life for a majority of us, no matter what we say outwardly.

In any case, among things money indeed is the most important because of its ability to buy all other things. But then life is not just about things, there are thoughts, intents, feelings, logic emotion etc. too....... all of which have greater influence than things.

this question has always been wrongly asked?
money is the means you are rewarded for your work, so why and how could this be evil and the more you work the more you get, so how it could be bad.

The problem is that our capitalist system has created some loop holes through which some people can be rewarded inappropriately and therefore (as we regard it as the reward for goodwork) we have to respect its owner. So this way these people can muster power which is not necessarily used wisely.
There you go, how money can be evil.....]

You can't take it with you, man. Naked you came into the world, naked you will leave. It's sad to live life pursuing something you can't keep and that can never make you happy or whole or sane or safe or loved.

"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs." (I Timothy 6:10 NIV)

Hey abluebobc...,

If all you get are people that agree with you, they why bother asking. Money is not the most important thing - people are. Your family first, then other people.

Money is nice, try to have some, it is great when you do. But, get your priorities straight. Hope this helps.

Money is not the most important thing in life, but it sure does help to make things better. The most important thing in life is to do the best you can with what you do have.

I don't!

And money is NOT the root of all evil; the LOVE OF MONEY is!

The same book that says this also says money answereth all things, therefore it cannot be bad for us but it definitely is not the most important thing in life.

LOVE is!
