if it's a managed switch or router (thus it has an ip address) you can bombard that ip address with traffic. Even if it's not a managed switch you can send ill formed ethernet packets to see if it's buggy and you can crash it. I had a desktop that crashed in a weird way, and until I powered it off, my switch kept crashing so it was clearly sending out bogus packets.

If its an electric wall switch:Get a screwer and screw out the 2 nails in it and then get a nife or a scissor or somtin and cut off the wires inside but take care cos u might get a shock. ( Why the hell do u wanna do that? )
