Yes. We are responsible. Because of America, a whole entire nation is screwed up. There are a bunch of people getting killed over there every day. Don't think that the news is telling us everything. You can bet there are more Iraqi civilians getting killed every day than reported. Also, Iraq's unemployment rate is over 40%. How can anybody say that Iraq is better off than before? At least when Saddam was there, the entire country was stable. Now it's chaos. The Bush administration even admitted that it was on the brink of disaster, and that they didn't have any plans for making it better.
Now, they are thinking about pulling out, and leaving behind a country that will destroy itself. This is really irresponsible of the American government.
Every citizen of America has Iraqi blood on their hands. A country elects a leader that the citizens deserve, and our indifference and ignorance has elected Bush.

Yes, ultimately the American citizens are responsible because, as they are so fond of saying, the government is made by and for the people.
Curiously, we often hear 'but we didn't know!'. Why is that? Does no one read? The rest of the world knew, as evidenced by the number of countries who didn't join in the debacle. The info was out there, but no one was interested. Almost everyone joined in a frenzy of nationalism WITH NO CRITICAL THINKING.
Yes, American citizens are responsible for the Iraq War. They are somehow deluded into thinking that their way is the best way. That they are somehow more 'free' than any other nation in the free world. But NOBODY want American-style democracy and freedoms. NOBODY hates you for your 'freedoms'. If you feel hated, believe me, it's not because of that.
The children and grandchildren of the current American citizens will still feel the impact of the damage done to the image of the United States from this war.

No. The idiot terrorists who flew into the Twin Towers
are responsible for this war. There was no sign of US
going to Iraq to war before this happened. All the
Congress voted for US to invade over there, so don't
just blame Pres Bush. It didn't go well so the Democrats
then changed their mind after it was too late and then
they acted like they were against it from the beginning.
Not true. What would you have done about this if you
had been President? Nothing?

Those who voted for him the second time cannot be blamed since the Iraqi war has already started before that vote.
I voted Gore in 2000 and for W. in 2004 so you can't blame me for this war.

No, a group of mis-guided Islamic zealots are responsible, we just have the job to make sure they don't fly into any more of our buildings. Don't try to place the blame on the President, he is not authorized to make a decision like this without the concurrence of congress. Blame them, if you think blame should be fixed.

You know who's really responsible for the mess in Iraq? The Iraqi people. Saddamy loyalists who want their power back, the police and soldiers who expect us to protect them, the everyday people who can't stand up for themselves, and the utter intolerance of the Shi'a and Sunni for each other.
