Yes, were going to Australia at Easter next year, its a holiday of a lifetime and I am so excited and over the moon, I just can't wait to get there and see my auntie and cousins again, its been just over 25 years since I last saw them, I'm finally going to get my dream of seeing them all again and snorkeling off the Great Barrier Reef and seeing Ullaru, I hope you and your family have a fantastic time in Majorca, huge diet needed here, but hey what the hell no one bothers on holiday do they.

You should consider the North Coast of Northern Ireland. Start at Benone beach near Limavady, Benevenagh mountain , Downhill with the Mussenden Temple, the towns of Portstewart/Portrush which have good hotels and B&Bs and nightclubs and golf courses. If you work your way around the coast, you can visit Dunluce Castle, Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, and the Bushmills Distillery where they make the whisky. Bushmills has excellent restaurants and hotels. There's the famous Giant's Causeway and if you reach Ballycastle there will be the Olde Lammas Fair on the Bank holiday Monday and Tuesday. At the end of August there is an air show in Portrush.

I'm going to Shetland for a few days at the end of January...it will be soooooo cold - but we'll be seeing killer whales, seals, arctic hare, and hopefully aurora borealis!
Can't wait and a fleece will be more forgiving than a bikini thankfully :-)
Planning somewhere hot for the summer though - I'll need to warm up after Shetland!
Have fun in Majorca.

If you have a young family and want to stay in the UK why not try Centre Parcs.
It is a fantastic place to go with so much to do.
It is expensive but only as expensive as you want it to be.
Accommodation is fantastic (even the cheapest) swimming pool is great.
Prices are very good depending on when you go....and remember you pay for the villa and not per person.
