I have ran my anti-virus, anti-spam, ect this morning and everything seems fine. But yesterday, I noticed that the photo on my desktop changed without my permission, and I was unable to do a system restore.
AVG(my anti-virus program) stored four virus's in the vault yesterday morning, right before I had these problems. Should I leave them there, or delete them from the vault? The "heal" option doesn't seem to be active, and when I click it, nothing happens.
The name of the four stored viruses are: Trojan Horse Flooder.AKE, and they are under 4 different file names: winlongon.exe(two of these), A0079791.exe, and A0079792.exe

Also, when I click on the name of the virus, and select "details" it says backup copy infected. What does that mean?

It is usually safe to delete these...the only reason they are kept is so that in case they are a system file or needed by some critical program, they can be restored.

The viruses are quarentined just to ensure that you have not deleted a system file in the process. If your pc is running smoothly, go ahead and delete the viruses from the vault. Go to the recycle bin and delete anything there.
Now rescan the pc, if it shows up clean go to the restore and set a new restore point. Reboot the pc and all should be well.

I suggest that you try again to carryout system restore in safe mode to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. Detailed instructions are posted at http://fixit.in/systemrestore.html
The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at

turn off system restore, right click on my computer select properties go to the system restore tab check the turn off system restore. Then go to AVG and delete the files in the vault, then turn system restore back on.....this will clear any restore points previously stored and start a new one with those files deleted. Then reboot and rerun all your scans.

Do NOT delete them, you will irreversibly screw your computer up and will need to reinstall windows.
This is not a real trojan, it is a bug in AVG that was released in their December 6th daily update. There are three step-by-step fixes you can do located here:

HEY! GOT THE SAME PROBLEM! ITS NOT A VIRUS ITS A BUG IN AVG.ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS UNINSTALL AVG UNDER SAFE MODE AND RESTART !

Deleting them is better
it is not much safe to keep viruses in vault or quarantine

yes, you can delete them outta your system. Ya might still have a virus in the system if things have changed without your permission. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.mspx. Run this tool to make sure your pc is virus free. i use tune up utillities with avg there is a shredder that i use to shred the vault virusses are only good for 1 thing kill kill kill
