Florida. UF won their conference and have a record of 12-1 opposed to Michigan 11-1. Regardless of what bias fans think, SEC and Big 10 teams are rather evenly matched.
OSU, believe it or not, has a losing record vs SEC teams at 7-9-2. They have been dominated by the SEC since the 1990s. I think OSU playing Florida will give the Buckeyes a chance to break a losing streak and show the nation why they are #1. Michigan had a shot and lost, period. The wolverines are exactly where they should be this year, but I think Mich vs LSU would be a better game rather than Mich vs USC.
Finally, if OSU played Michigan again the nation would not truly know if either team is a deserving champion. It stands to reason that any elite team should face another elite team from a different conference because only then would you have a measuring stick. I mean, OSU and Michigan are d@mn good, but how good? The Big 10 as a conference didn't look so hot this year. OSU, Michigan, and Wisconsin look good, but what other team had a great season? OSU should face Florida because if they defeat an SEC champion then they are undisputed as the National Champion.

As an Ohio State fan, i would rather see them play Florida. Just for the simple fact that Michigan had their shot and lost in a very close game. But....I would want to see a CHALLENGE for Ohio State. Florida is a great team, dont get me wrong. Michigan would pose a challenge for Ohio State and the ratings for the game would be insanely high. But as stated earlier, Michigan hada chance and blew it. So....bring on the Gators

i think of you basically responded your person question my chum. little question, michigan could face ohio st. they proved that they are able to maintain up with ohio st on the buckeyes stadium. in the event that they meet on impartial turf i think of michigan wins the national championship. if Florida has to play ohio st then it fairly is basically not a calming recreation to observe because of the fact ohio st's protection will carry florida to decrease than 14 factors and then troy smith and the ohio st offense can run over florida. michigan gets their rematch against the buckeyes
