what website can i go on to locate a prisoner?

i am trying to find someone thats in prison and i need his number so i can write him how can i locate this information

yeah, it depends on the state. try to search in yahoo "texas inmate search" or whatever state it is.

Go to the state prison that this person is located. You may find him there. However if this person is serving a long sentence sometimes they are moved to different prisons throughout their term. Just type in the prison you think they are in. Then narrow it down from there.
