this is a seriuos question, im 24 now im male, and i find it weird that my entire life people are always, touching my back, or taping me on the shoulder, alot more then the avarge person, id say 10 to 20 times more, and women always touch my arm when there talking to me, why is this, i cant work it out, it makes me feel weird when it happens, for example a women might come up to me a say, its cold today and start rubbing my shoulders and arms, another example when i was unemployed, my case manager, out of the blue started rubbing my back and shoulders, i need to know why i get this attention from people,,,,AND A SWEAR THIS IS A REAL QUESTION,

Well - very often you are treated the way you treat others. People do sense what you're "putting out there" - so maybe they have a sense that it's what you need or want - and that it's okay. You probably present yourself as very open and likeable. I'll bet you don't stand with your arms crossed in front of your chest (a sign that you are closed to others). You probably have a big smile and an open and easy-going demeanor - and they just pick up on it. You are not letting others know where your "personal space" is - and so they are invading it. Or..... you have just been experiencing lots of people you have no intuition or instinct about such things - and they invade everybody's space.

Are you a touchy person? Do you touch other people when you talk to them? Do you stand close to people when you talk to them? What does your body language say....people tend to respond to you by the messages you send.....you look approachable....or somehow you just "convey" that it is ok to touch you.....Don't take this the wrong way, but if you happen to be gay, somehow this makes women feel "safe" and un-threatened so they feel it's ok to touch you because you won't take it as a "come on" gesture.... If you are not gay, then you need to figure out your secret and publish it in a book, I'm sure there are a ton of men who will pay high prices for your secrets.... hope this is helpful....

I was going to say, "Because you have big boobs", but that apparently doesn't apply. Maybe you just make people feel comfortable around you, and they want to show you this. I've noticed it happens with some people. I just feel the need to hug or pet them, because they mean something to me. Or maybe you're just very attractive to those around you.
If it bothers you, I would suggest talking to them and using a lot of I-phrases. "I know you like rubbing my shoulders, and I appreciate it, but it makes me a bit uncomfortable." That way, they won't get SO embarrassed by thinking THEY did something horribly wrong.

well (rubs back), I'm not really sure. Unless you're (touches arm) really attractive, than I guess that may be why. However if it's with members of the same sex, maybe you have an aura that says "touch me"..
by the way, I would tell them to stop taping your shoulders....it's expensive and hard not to tear skin off.............OH.....sorry. You meant tapping.....I feel so silly...........

Sounds like that movie Love Potion Number 9 but without the potion. Maybe you have some kind of qality that draws them to you. It could be in your demeanor and personality. That and/or they like how you look and you don't realize it as they think you do and you're modest or unaware.

One of two things could be happening One is that you are approachable person and come across to be a nice guy. and women thick you sweet and cuddly, and like being around you.
Two is they feel sorry for you.

Maybe you just give off that "touch me" vibe?
People don't even look at me.. but I usually look disgruntled, so.. try frowning at them and stomping about.

People feel comfortable around you. Maybe it's your personality or you have a nice smile. You have a good aura.

Well.....You are either VERY attractive and people feel the urge to touch you or VERY unattractive and people feel you need comforting because of it.
